TESTER, DEFIBRILLATOR ENERGY
The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description.
This commercial item description covers a defibrillator energy tester suitable for use in verifying or calibrating the output energy from all DC defibrillators.
Salient characteristics:
The defibrillator energy tester shall operate from a nominal 115 VAC, 60 Hz, or battery power. If it is battery powered, it shall have a battery life of at least one year. It shall be furnished with a suitable hard protective carrying case. The tester shall measure trapezoidal or LOWN wave forms of 2 to 40 mS duration. It shall have an operating temperature range of 15 to 400 C, an energy measurement range of 0 to 800 Joules, ± 4 percent and a test load of 50 ohms, ± 1 percent. The tester shall measure waveforms of up to 5 kV amplitude. It shall have a real time oscilloscope output with a BNC or banana type connector, and an attenuation of 1000.1. The tester shall weigh less than 9 pounds, and measure no more than 9” x 10” x 15”. It shall have a digital or analog energy scale and an energy readout reset.
Workmanship. The defibrillator energy tester shall be free from defects which detract from its appearance or impair its serviceability.
Unit. Each (EA). One defibrillator energy tester, with carrying case, as specified, constitutes one unit.
