2.6.6.2 Ramp Width. The minimum ramp width shall be as follows.
Range: 5µs to 999ms
Accuracy (5µs to 999ms): 3%
Resolution: 3 digits
2.6.6.3 Triangle and Ramp Linearity. Linearity shall be (10% to 90% Amplitude) > 99% at
less than 5 MHz.
2.6.7 Amplitude Modulation. The instrument shall have an external amplitude modulation
input. The input shall be compatible with the following AM characteristics.
Depth of Modulation Range: 0 to 120%
Modulation Frequency Range: DC to 20 kHz.
2.6.8 Triggering. The instrument shall have an external trigger input. The input shall be
compatible with the following characteristics.
2.6.8.1 Impedance: 10 k? ± 5%
2.6.8.2 Maximum Input Vo ltage: TTL compatible
2.6.8.3 Minimum Pulse Width: 100 ns
2.6.9 Remote Operation. The equipment shall interface with IEEE-488.
2.6.10 Sync Output. The instrument shall have a sync output.
2.6.10.1 Level (at 50 ? ). The Sync output level shall be 0 to 1V.
2.6.10.2 Rise/Fall Time. The rise/fall time on the sync output shall be less than < 3 ns.
2.6.11 Output Impedance. The output impedance the equipment shall be compatible with 50 ? .
2.6.3 Physical Characteristics. The test set's component dimensions and weight shall be
consistent with current commercial offerings. The equipment shall have the following physical
characteristics.
2.6.3.1 Dimensions. The width and depth of the equipment shall be compatible with mounting in
an ANSI/EIA-310-D standard equipment rack. The height shall be compatible with three
standard height units, 3U. One unit or "U" is defined by ANSI/EIA-310-D to be 1.75 inches or
44.45 mm.
2.6.3.2 Weight. The total weight of the equipment, excluding accessories and manuals, shall not
exceed 15 pounds (or 6.8 kilograms). If the depth of the equipment is greater than 24 inches the
maximum allowable weight shall be reduced by 33 percent.
