f. The TTS shall have readily accessible calibration and maintenance adjustments
and MTBF shall be 2000 hours.
g. The TTS shall have a ruggedized case which is watertight when submerged to
3 ft.
2.2 Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). The TTS shall meet the EMI requirements of
either:
a. MIL-STD-461 (Requirements for the Control of Electromagnetic Interference
Emissions and Susceptibility), RE101 radiated emissions magnetic field 30 Hz to 50
KHz and RE102 radiated emissions electric field 10 KHz to 18 GHz.
b. DO-160 Environmental Conditions and Test Conditions for Airborne Equipment.
2.3 Function. The TTS shall perform the following tasks:
a. fault location
b. wire identification
c. balance tests
2.4 Accessories. The following accessories shall be provided with each test set:
a. talk pair test cord
b. 2-wire test cord
c. ground cord
3. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Regulatory requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered
materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS
4.1 Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating
evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this CID, and that
the product conforms to the producer's own drawings, specifications, standards, and
quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial
marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance
prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the
provisions of the contract.
