Sampling for testing and examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105 and table I. The unit of product for sampling purposes shall be one defibrillator analyzer.

Tests. All tests shall be performed on a first article sample in accordance with table II.
Table II. Tests.
1) Safety
Electrical leakage current shall comply with those limits specified in ANSI/AAMI SCL 12/78. Tests shall be in accordance with above standard. Equipment shall be a leakage current tester/safety analyzer with capability to perform test described in above standard.
Unit shall incorporate a three-conductor, hospital grade plug on the power cord.
2) Performance
The manufacturer shall demonstrate to the Government via mutually acceptable test method, compliance with the following specifications and performance criteria:
Weight: < 15 lbs.
Energy level meter accuracy: ± 2 percent
Output load resistance: 50 ohms, ± 1 percent
Cardioversion delay time display: ± 2ms
Gain and damping adjustment waveform: Bipolar squarewave, 2 Hz, 1 mVpp
Low frequency response: DC pulse, 4 seconds, ± 1mv peak
Bandpass, band reject, AHA high frequency 3 dB point: Bipolar sine wave, 10, 40, 60, 100, 200, 1000 Hz burst frequencies, 1 second on – 1/4 second off duty cycle, 3mVpp.
