3.7.31 Display Readout. The Display shall be capable of displaying the following readout:
a. Reference level.
b. Center frequency.
c. Vertical display mode.
d. Frequency span/div. or frequency span. e. Resolution bandwidth.
f. RF attenuation.
3.7.32 Mixers. The Spectrum Analyzer shall use no more than three (3) mixers and, if required, a unit driving amplifier. The ranges and conversion loss shall be as follows:
Mixer Frequency Range |
Average Conversion Loss Maximum |
18 - 26.5 GHz |
-30 dB |
26.5 - 40 GHz |
-30 dB |
33 - 50 GHz |
-30 dB |
3.7.33 Interface. The Spectrum Analyzer shall provide an IEEE standard 488, USB, and GPIB interface function and connector. This is to enable the Spectrum Analyzer for remote control of all front panel function except power switch, display intensity, frequency calibration, level calibration and trigger level adjustment knob.
3.7.34 Programmability. The Spectrum Analyzer shall be fully programmable except for display positioning, display visual controls, manual scan, level calibration and power.
3.7.35 Front-Panel Controls. The following shall be front-panel controllable:
a. Store display b. Erase display
c. Operate in non-storage display mode
d. Store and display two traces, one active and one previously stored spectrum e. Perform normalization or trace subtraction
f. Peak hold
h. Selective display and blanking i. Internal preselection
j. Digital averaging k. Vertical display
l. Linear display
m. Logarithmic display n. Intensity
3.7.36 Signal Identification. The instrument shall have the capability, when using external mixers, of identifying a true signal from a false signal when preselection is not available. This capability may be selected from a front panel control or from menu selection.
