3.7.3 Vibration. The equipment shall conform to the specified vibration performance and
accuracy requirements of Table II when tested in accordance with 4.5.4.

3.8 Reliability requirements.
3.8.1 Reliability burn-in. Each signal generator delivered shall meet all requirements of
this specification and shall be submitted to a 96 hour (minimum) on-time, burn-in procedure as
specified in 4.5.6.1. The last 24 hours of burn-in shall be failure free.
3.8.2 Reliability. Reliability shall comply with requirements of this specification, contract,
and/or purchase order. The specified MTBF shall be 2500 hours when tested as specified in
4.5.6. Any departure from the specified performance or operation shall constitute a failure and
shall not be correctable by use of the operating controls after the test is initiated (see 6.4.2).
3.8.3 Maintainability The equipment shall be designed to permit isolation of faults, and
repair down to the lowest discrete component (resistor, switch, transistor, etc) (see 6.4.3).
4 VERIFICATION
4.1 Classification of inspections. The inspection requirements specified are classified as
